But behind the polished rhetoric of “financial inclusion” lies a more complicated truth. This article explores the rise of microfinance not just as an economic tool but as a political instrument, one that often masks structural inequality with the language of opportunity. Microfinance, which originated in villages where the state withdrew, filled a void by not challenging the system, but by adapting the poor to it. The borrower, who was once a worker or peasant, became a "client." The loan, no longer a right, became a product. Wrapped in the language of empowerment, microfinance built a parallel economy on the backs of informal labour, precarious livelihoods, and relentless repayment cycles. And yet, the narrative remained seductive: small loans, big dreams. But dreams, like debts, have interest. The central proposition posits that microfinance is not a panacea. It suggests that the promise of empowerment through credit is fundamentally limited when access is substituted for agency, and financial inclusion is decoupled from political inclusion. This article does not romanticise microfinance. It interrogates it. It asks who profits when poverty becomes a market, when solidarity is monetised, and when development is measured in EMIs. As we trace the evolution of this system, we confront a simple question with revolutionary weight: can you liberate the poor with credit or only with power?

- [জনগণের নিবিড় সংশোধন : এসআইআর এবং ভারতীয় নির্বাচন ব্যবস্থার কর্তৃত্ত্ববাদী উদ্ভাবনা](https://altviewpoint.in/special-intensive-revision-india-election-commision/): এগুলো মোটেই আকস্মিক সমাপতন নয়। ফ্যাসিবাদের স্থায়ী শত্রু নির্মার্ণের বৃহত্তর নকশা। কখনো সংখ্যালঘু, কখনো রাজনৈতিক বিরোধী বা কখনো আঞ্চলিক রাজনৈতিক অভিজাতকে নিজস্ব শৃঙ্খলায় আনার প্রক্রিয়া ফ্যাসিবাদ চালিয়ে যেতে থাকে। সমাজের দরিদ্র অংশ সহজেই তার উদ্দেশ্য সাধনের উপায় হতে পারে। আন্তঃরাজ্য শ্রমিকেরা দৃশ্যমান, নিজ বাসভূমি ছেড়ে তাঁরা এদিকে ওদিকে চলাচল করেন, স্বভাবতই রাজনৈতিকভাবে দুর্বল (বাঙালি বা অন্য যেকোনো আন্তঃরাজ্য শ্রমিকের ক্ষেত্রেও একথা প্রযোজ্য), সুতরাং বলি বানানোর জন্য এরা সবদিক থেকে উপযুক্ত। ইতিহাসে কম উদাহরণ নেই, বাসভূমির সাপেক্ষে অনিশ্চয়তায় থাকা জন-সম্প্রদায়কে সাংস্কৃতিকভাবে উত্তেজিত করে স্বার্থ-সাধনের পর অপরাধী, অনুৎপাদক এবং জাতির বোঝা হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে খরচ করে দেওয়ার। মতুয়া সম্প্রদায় সাম্প্রতিক উদাহরণ। কী ধরণের শব্দবন্ধ বিজেপি তাঁদের সম্পর্কে প্রয়োগ করছে খেয়াল রাখা প্রয়োজন। আনুগত্য কখনোই কোনো কর্তৃত্ববাদের থেকে সুরক্ষা আদায়ের পন্থা নয় কারণ কর্তৃত্ববাদ পুঁজির সেবা করে, শ্রমের নয়। এই ট্রাজেডি গভীর রূপ নেয় যখন ভাষিক-আঞ্চলিক প্রতিরোধগুলি রূপান্তরিত হয় জেনোফোবিয়ায়, যখন বাঙালি তামিল মারাঠি অথবা অন্যান্য ভাষিক আন্দোলনগুলি হিন্দি আধিপত্যবাদের সাথে সাথে হিন্দিভাষী শ্রমজীবীকেও তাদের শত্রু চিহ্নিত করে। তখন ফ্যাসিবাদের কাজটিও সহজ হয়ে যায়। কারণ এই শ্রমজীবিরা আরও বেশি বেশি করে কর্তৃত্ববাদী কেন্দ্রের দিকে ঝুঁকে পড়েন, মনে করেন ফ্যাসিবাদ তাদের রক্ষক। স্থানীয় শ্রমজীবী সমাজের সঙ্গে তাঁদের বিচ্ছিন্নতা তৈরি হয়। শোষিত হতে থাকা শ্রমজীবী সমাজ তাঁদের পরিচিতির কারণে বিভাজিত হয়ে পড়ে, এই খেলায় পুঁজি এবং রাষ্ট্র অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়, রাজনৈতিক এনার্জি খরচ হয়ে যায় সাধারণ মানুষের নিজেদের মধ্যেকার লড়াইয়ে।পশ্চিমবঙ্গের ক্ষেত্রে আরো একটি বিষয় স্মর্তব্য। হিন্দিভাষী শ্রমজীবী ছাড়াও এখানে বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলকে কেন্দ্র করে আরো অন্যভাষার শ্রমজীবী ও অন্যান্য শ্রেণির মানুষ রয়েছেন, রয়েছে ক্ষুদ্র ক্ষুদ্র জাতিসত্তা। লড়াই শুধুমাত্র ভাষিক-জাতীয়তাবাদী হলে বিভাজন সম্ভাবনা বাড়ানোর কোন রাস্তাই বিজেপি ছাড়বে না। এছাড়া ঔপনিবেশিক সময় থেকে বাংলার শিল্পায়নে যে হিন্দিভাষী শ্রমজীবীর শ্রম নিযুক্ত হয়েছে তাঁদের উত্তর-প্রজন্মকেও কি বিজেপির দিকে ঠেলে দেওয়া সমীচীন?
